the new music project by Christoph Sell and his rebirth as a pop-cultural artist.
Christoph was the guitarist/singer and creative backbone of the German punk band “Feine Sahne Fischfilet” for over ten years until he and the band separated in 2022.
He wrote songs like „Komplett im Arsch“ that developed into hits for his generation in the German-speaking world and were sung by tens of thousands in concert halls and at festivals.
When he broke up with the band that had shaped him since his youth, it turned his life upside down.
Since then, he’s been recording new music with the producer Kristian Kühl. Together, they are searching for new sounds that haven’t yet been explored, combined with German lyrics, without losing sight of Christoph’s subcultural roots and his devotion to pop music. The result is the most personal music he has ever made, which grapples with those years when so much changed for him.
Restless and undeterred after the “clash,” he’s now often on the road between Germany and the US, where he has found inspiration in a second, very different environment — Baltimore — that has begun to feel like another home next to his original home between Leipzig and the Baltic Sea.
New terrain offers little security, but perhaps, in part because of this, it provides a chance to find new visions and joy.
As he creates, he never forgets where he comes from: eastern Germany, with a dream in his heart for a better world for all.
